Super Junior member Choi Siwon reported to be enlisting in the military later this year.
According to a broadcast insider, the Super Junior member is preparing to enlist in the army at the second half of the year. However, the exact date has not been decided yet. The source also reveals that Siwon would be working on the upcoming MBC drama “She Was Pretty” before his enlistment.
If Siwon’s enlistment would push through later this year, he would become the seventh member of Super Junior to be serving in the military. He would then be the third member to enlist this year, as fellow members Shindong and Sungmin have both enlisted last March.
SM Entertainment then responds to the reports of Siwon’s upcoming enlistment through a representative. “Nothing has been confirmed regarding his enlistment. We are currently coordinating with the time frame. For now, the upcoming drama, ‘She Was Pretty’ is the priority. Once the production ends, a more definite plan for Siwon’s enlistment would be set.”
Meanwhile, the MBC drama “She Was Pretty” is scheduled to air on September following the end of the Wednesday-Thursday drama “Scholar Who Walks the Night”.
Siwon would star in the drama along with Park Seo Joon, Go Joon Hee, and Hwang Jung Eum. He is reported to be taking a role of a magazine editor who has a free-spirited personality as well as having a mysterious aura.
