SEVENTEEN member Mingyu writes a letter of apology to fans following his minor back injury and being unable to fully perform at the group’s upcoming concert in Japan.

On August 3, the SEVENTEEN member writes on their official Twitter account, “Hello, this is Mingyu. I was wondering whether or not I should write this. However, I have decided to do so because of your concerns. I apologize. I am also upset since I feel like I am causing harm to the members and all the fans. I had a minor back injury. However, my agency advised me to think further ahead. My members told me considerately that it was okay. I would be performing at the upcoming concert. However, I would have to skip several performances with tough choreographies.”

He also adds, “You have probably looked forward to it. I am very sorry and I also regret not being extra careful. I would recover as fast as possible and return with a proper performance. I apologize for worrying all of you.”

Recently, his management agency, Pledis Entertainment, also reveals, “Mingyu has suffered a back injury. However, he would attend the planned schedules. It is not severe. But, the muscle has been shocked. For the time being, he would need to rest. He is currently improving, but for now, we would just have to wait and see. We will do the best that we can in order to make sure that he could return healthy.”
