Super Junior member Ryeowook talks about his aspirations as a singer.
On January 5, Ryeowook talks about his aspirations on his first album showcase for “The Little Prince.”
Ryeowook reveals the charm of his album, “manlier than people think, to the point that fans cannot escape from my appeal.”
He continues, “both Ryeowook and Super Junior’s Ryeowook are important. I did not want to make my first solo album to be so different from a Super Junior album.”
The Super Junior member also mentions that he wonders how far he could go as a solo artist and reveals, “My dream is to become a ‘nation’s singer’ who consistently sings throughout this year.”
He also talks about fellow member Kyuhyun who made his solo debut first. “When Kyuhyun was working on his solo album, he did let other members listen to his solo album demos. In my case, I made all of my songs available to the members.”
Ryeowook then reveals, “I guess I would have been more nervous if Kyuhyun did not release his album before me. In a way, I feel less pressured since his album did very well. It is because he did well that we earn strength from each other. We are Super Junior K.R.Y’s K and R. Next would be Y. We want to be all successful.”
When he was asked if he wants to do better than Kyuhyun, he reveals, “I want to do a lot better than Kyuhyun.”
Meanwhile, Ryeowook’s first solo album “The Little Prince” would be released in January 28 which includes six tracks.
