f(x) leader Victoria has been rumored to have wanted to end her contract with SM Entertainment.
On May 29, an entertainment insider posted on the Chinese social media Weibo regarding Victoria allegedly asking to end her contract with SM Entertainment.
“I have a reliable piece of info, Victoria has brought up a contract termination with SM and she will come back to China to set up her own personal studio. The reason for the contract termination is that Victoria wants to establish a personal studio in China but SM Entertainment denied her request saying that Victoria is still inexperienced,” reveals the entertainment insider.
The rumors have quickly spread in Weibo, Chinese media outlet Sina have reached out to SM Entertainment following the spread of rumors.
SM Entertainment’s staffs in China have responded that SM’s headquarters is still confirming the issue with Victoria. They also added that they would release an official statement if there is any update regarding the confirmation.
Sina has also pointed out that there seems to be a contradiction to the rumors of Victoria being denied of a personal studio because of her inexperience when EXO member Lay was given a personal studio in China when he is Victoria’s hoobae.
Meanwhile, just before the rumors have spread on Weibo, Victoria had posted pictures in her Weibo account in which she was holding her SMTOWN ID Card. She also wrote, “went to the company for a stroll,” along with the picture she had posted.
