Orange Caramel is a South Korean girl group under the management company of Pledis Entertainment. The group is the first sub unit of the girl group After School. Orange Caramel had debuted on the 16th of July, 2010 with their title track named, “Magic Girl”. They had also released a version of “Orange Caramel – The First Mini Album” in Taiwan. In the said Taiwan version of the mini album, they had included a recorded mandarin version of “The day you went away” which is a cover coming from Cyndi Wang. The song was released as Special for Taiwan. On the later of September, the group had released their “Orange Caramel – The Second Mini Album” alongside with their title track, “A~ing?.”

The Member’s profiles:

The group was consists of three members namely Raina, Nana and Lizzy, it was said to be chosen as the youngest members of the said group. The trio is used to mark their identity as somewhat bubbly and using neon colors as for their costumes. They were like some Barbie dolls that dresses up with their big ribbons on head, mini skirts, colorful hats and big eye catching accessories.

Raina – Her birth name is Oh Hye Rin, and was born on the 7th of May 1989. She is the main vocalist and at the same time, the leader of the group.

Nana – Her birth name is Im Jin Ah and was born on the 24th of September, 1991. She is currently one of the vocalists of the group.

Lizzy – Her birth name is Park Soo Young and was born on the 31st of July, 1992. She is the lead vocalist of Orange Caramel.

Orange Caramel had released several of promotional singles, “Magic Girls” (2010), “A~ing?” (2010), “Still…”(2011) and “Bangkok City” (2011). They had also won the Photogenic Award on the 11th Korean Visual Arts Festival.

On 7th of April, 2011, many of the Korea’s online community boards had begun showing photos from the set of Orange Caramel’s latest photo shoots that leads to many people to wonder what they were for. The trio was touched with a very minimal kind of styling and had the main emphasis and focused on their lips, but there is no word on what exactly the girls are doing this for.

Netizens questioned, “What exactly are they doing that calls for such a style?”, “Is this a make-up CF?”, and “I like how they’ve stepped away from their cute image for something more mature.”

Representatives of Pledis Entertainment had revealed, “It is not for a photoshoot or advertisement. We are currently working on something new to repay the love fans have been sending Orange Caramel.” So it was then announced that Orange Caramel are preparing a surprise for their fans, many are already excited about this matter as they can see the effort of three in doing this project. We are hoping for more successful achievements coming from the Orange Caramel as well as their part in the girl group After School.
