Actress Lee Young Ae gets an award at the Korean Historical Fiction Star Awards.

On October 24, the Korea Historical Fiction Star Awards took place in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province. In the ceremony, Lee Young Ae receives an award for her role in Korean period dramas which was presented by actor Song II Gook.

After receiving the award, Lee Young Ae then reveals, Min Sok Chon (Korean folk village) gets a lot of love overseas, as well as domestically. I am very happy that many people came tonight.”

The actress also adds, “Right now, I am currently filming for another historical drama ‘Shin Saimdang: The Herstory’ in here. I would work harder in the future for all the people who came out and selected for this award. This would be my first drama since ‘Jewel in the Palace,’ and I would be greeting all of you once again with another historical fiction drama.”

Lee Young Ae’s upcoming drama would be about Shin Saimdang who is an artist, writer and the mother of Korean Confucian scholar Yulgok. Moreover, the drama would deal with topics such as what makes a good wife and mother.
