FT Island’s main vocal Lee Hongki expresses his complaint and frustration regarding his management company FNC Entertainment.
On August 31, Hongki gains attention from fans after he posts a bold update on his own Instagram account. In his post, he reveals a teaser photo for the band’s new track “Puppy”. Hongki writes, “Gift for you guys ㅋㅋㅋ. This is for you. How come the company does not do a single promotion, so unfair and frustrating ㅋㅋㅋ”
The post has gained attention among fans who have also become witness of Hongki’s previous complaints on his agency.
Previously, the FNC Entertainment CEO became a guest on “Radio Star” and have shown his favoritism towards FT Island’s labelmate Jung Yonghwa of CNBlue. To this, Hongki had requested and received a chance to appear on the program where he revealed that the incident annoyed him.
In March, the FT Island released their album “I Will”. During the promotions, the band reveals that it had taken nine years to convince their agency to have them create the music which they really wanted to make.
FT Island has been known as the first successful K-pop idol band and was FNC Entertainment’s first group in 2007 after the agency was formed in 2006.
Meanwhile, FT Island has released their track “Puppy” on August 31 ahead of the release of their album with the same name on September 16 in Japan.
