Actor Lee Byung Hun talks about his panic disorder.
During the actor’s recent interview and photo shoot with Esquire magazine, Lee Byung Hun revealed, “Since a few years back, I have suffered from a panic disorder. My personality has always been the type who easily gets nervous. However, when a panic attack suddenly hits, I could not breathe. I do not know why that happens.”
“Whenever I am placed in situations where I could not escape like a fan meeting or a public radio broadcast, I tend to have a moment where I could not hear anything and my mind suddenly goes blank,” he added.
The actor then shared, “I think to myself, ‘What should I do? Should I just run like this? Can I even do that?’ and get conflicted like that for about 10 minutes. However, my conclusion after all of that is, ‘Even if I faint, I’ll just faint here’ and I endure it.”
“However, when I get really scared or when my anxiety gets a boiling point, I think, ‘Is there much to life anyways?’ and go out. I have a bit of a happy-go-lucky personality,” Lee Byung Hun continued.
Meanwhile, the actor is known for his roles in the films, “The Magnificent Seven,” “Memories of the Sword,” “The Age of Shadows,” “Terminator Genisys,” “I Saw the Devil” “G.I. Joe: Retaliation,” and “G.I. Joe: The Rise of the Cobra.”
