GOT7 member Jackson reveals that he had turned down offers from prestigious universities to pursue this dreams of becoming an idol.

On the Chinese version of “Please Take Care of My Refrigerator,” Jackson appeared as a special guest and reveals that he was a member of Hong Kong’s national fencing team.

The GOT7 member reveals, “I have received scholarship offers from the University of Hong Kong and Stanford University to represent their school when I join competitions.”

Jackson then explains, “My father did not think much of it when I told him that I wanted to become a singer. However, when I brought the actual contract, he was so surprised.”

He also reveals, “Regardless of whether or not I could succeed, I just wanted to try a lot of things.”

Jackson also goes to share, “My friends who prepared for the London Olympics have participated in the competition. A close senior of mine have even won the gold medal. However, I was just a trainee back then, so I was not doing anything. I did not know how to sing, did not know how to dance. I did not know anything, and I had no plans. I went back to Hong Kong. However, the team could not accept me at that point anymore. I did not know what I was doing that time, so I was very upset.

He also adds, “It was really difficult. However, I did not regret it.”
