Actress Go Ara reveals why she cried on her audition for “Reply 1994” and her thoughts on “Reply 1988”on her interview with “News Room.”

On the recent broadcast of JTBC’s “News Room,” Go Ara shares why she was moved to tears for her audition in “Reply 1994” through an interview with reporter Sohn Suk Hee.

Go Ara reveals, “I have met PD Shin Won Ho while I was working on the KBS drama, ‘Sharp.’ He said that he had seen me when I was still young, which is why he wanted to talk with me. He was a really great listener, and we were having a discussion about the things which I was really worrying about at that time, I started to cry a bit. I am so grateful to him for believing in me.”

The actress also talks about the new drama “Reply 1988” which is the third installment of the “Reply” series. She reveals, “The time setting is different and the sunbaes (seniors) that I like are acting in it. Moreover, it has a family drama vibe. I enjoy watching it.”

Meanwhile, Go Ara is also known for her roles on MBC’s “Who Are You?” and on SBS’ “Snow Flower” and “You’re All Surrounded.”

She is currently promoting her new movie, “Joseon Magician” which will open on theaters on December 30. It also stars actor Yoo Seung Ho.
