Girl’s Day member Hyeri has been recently admitted to the hospital and has been diagnosed with meningitis.

Previously, Hyeri has been reported to have suffered high fever and headache around the morning of March 6, which is why she was immediately rushed to the emergency room of a university’s hospital for a checkup.

According to her management agency, Dream Tea Entertainment, the Girl’s Day member had attended the “Reply 1988” a day before. However, she returned home to take a rest.

A representative from Dream Tea Entertainment then reveals, “Hyeri has been hospitalized and would be staying for a couple of days for treatment. She is currently receiving a full examination for her high fever and headache. We had to cancel all of activities for today. Depending on the results, we may have to reschedule her future activities as well. We apologize for causing concern, we would do our best to aid her fast recovery.”

Following her examination, her management agency then updated the public that Hyeri has been diagnosed with meningitis, which is caused by the inflammation of the membranes around the brains due to bacterial infection.

Meanwhile, aside from being a member of girl group Girl’s Day, Hyeri is also known for her roles on the dramas, “Hyde, Jekyll, Me,” “Seonam Girls High School Investigators,” “Tasty Life” and the recently ended popular tvN drama “Reply 1988.” She is also reported to be in talks for the upcoming SBS drama “Ddanddara.”
