Female soloist Ailee has been revealed to have suffered a foot injury while filming her new music video for her upcoming album.
On September 7, Ailee started to film for her new music video. However, an entertainment insider has revealed that while filming the action scene, the artist has ended up breaking the small bone on her foot when a prop has suddenly fell on top of it.
She was then rushed to the hospital for surgery, however, her doctor then revealed that she would be needing at least four weeks in order to fully recover.
Her comeback which was scheduled for October would be delayed due to her injury and since her music video filming has not been finished yet.
A representative from her management agency YMC Entertainment confirmed the news and revealed, “Ailee’s injury was more serious that we have thought, and she is unable to move around. It would take time before she would be able to practice her choreography once again.”
Earlier this summer, she has been recording and has chosen songs for her first full length album.
In 2012, she debuted with the track “Heaven”, which was written and produced by Wheesung, earning her two awards including, Cyworld Music Awards – “Rookie of the Month” and “Song of the Month” for the month of February. She has also won “Best New Female Artist” from MelOn Music Awards and Mnet Asian Music Awards.
It seems that it would take a while before we can see Ailee on stage again.
Stay tuned for more updates on Ailee!
