2AM member Jinwoon talks about his struggles about finding the right agency.
On recent showcase of Jinwoon’s first single “Will” which features Tiger JK, he shares about his struggles about finding the perfect company that would fit his music.
Jinwoon reveals, “I heard the word ‘no’ for like 99% of the time at JYP and Big Hit Entertainment.”
He also adds, “It was really 100% since I got to release a solo single “You Walking Towards Me” at Big Hit Entertainment.”
Jinwoon also shares, “Park Jin Young PD told me that I had to believe in music until the very end. Also, I was really influenced by San E. Park Jin Young told me that I might have to leave just like San E in order for me to find success.”
The 2AM member also talks about how Mystic Entertainment founder Yoon Jong Shin helped him by saying, “Yoon Jong Shin and I talked a lot. When he first heard of my music, he told me that there was still a lot that I had to work on, and we could walk on that road together. He also worked hard in helping me with vocal mixing and recording.”
Meanwhile, Jinwoon made his debut with the ballad group 2AM in 2008 under JYP Entertainment. Following his contract expiration, he left and signed with Mystic Entertainment.
Aside from his singing career, Jinwoon also pursued an acting career and is known for his roles on the dramas “Dream High 2,” “Marriage, Not Dating” and “Madame Antoine.”
