The staff members of SBS’ “Running Man” apologizes to the cast members and viewers in its recent broadcast following recent controversy.
On the show’s Christmas special, the six members, including Song Ji Hyo and Kim Jong Kook stood in a room with a box in front of them.
Referring to the controversy, Kim Jong Kook commented, “I thought that I would not get to see your faces again, but here we are.”
Yoo Jae Suk then proceeded to open to the box in front of them and found a bouquet of flowers and apples along with a note that said, “To our loving ‘Running Man’ cast members. We apologize for the hurt and pain that we have caused. We will do our best to be a more mature and hardworking staff from now on.”
Yoo Jae Suk then replied to the apology by saying, “We will work harder than before in the new year. We would like to take this moment to apologize to our fans once more for causing them stress.”
The other members then joined Yoo Jae Suk in saying, “Merry Christmas!” and doing a 90 degree bow.
Following Song Ji Hyo and Kim Jong Kook’s departure controversy, the show has been revealed to be ending its run on February of the next year and that both Song Ji Hyo and Kim Jong Kook will still be staying in the show until its end.
