Actress Moon Geun Young revealed her thoughts on the criticisms about her “Romeo and Juliet” stage performance where many were criticizing her for her voice projection, tone, and pronunciation.
On her recent interview with media outlet StarToday, Moon Geun Young revealed, “Theater has always been a genre that I have always wanted to try. I have learned a lot on my first stage acting, and there were many fun times, so it is a great memory. Although I lack as an actor, theater is a chance for me to grow and do well.”
“I received this great opportunity. However, my weaknesses have been really exposed. All of my awkwardness from lacking experience became apparent,” the actress also added.
She also shared, “I am learning daily and trying to improve. On one hand, criticism and negative comments make me lose confidence and feel embarrassed. However, on the contrary, I am glad that I can hope to get better and feel challenged. I try my best not to get hurt by the negative feedback. I have to be responsible for today’s performance. Even if I feel dissatisfied with myself, I do my best to give an excellent performance to the viewers.”
Meanwhile, Moon Geun Young is known for her roles in the dramas, “Autumn in My Heart,” “Cinderella’s Sister,” “Mary Stayed Out All Night,” and “The Village: Achiara’s Secret.” As well as in the films, “A Tale of Two Sisters,” “The Throne,” “Love Me Not” and “Innocent Steps.”
