It has been reported that Kim Hyun Joong and his ex-girlfriend Choi have been ordered by the court to have a DNA test to confirm the paternity of Choi’s son.

On December 9, a source revealed that Judge Jung Hyun Kyung of the Seoul Family Court have ordered Kim Hyun Joong and his ex-girlfriend to take DNA tests.

Choi’s lawyer, Sun Jong Moon reveals, “A DNA test would likely happen within this month at Seoul National University Hospital. The results would be available a week after the exam. Kim Hyun Joong’s paternity would be established by then.”

Previously, Choi filed a lawsuit against Kim Hyun Joong regarding her child’s paternity and have asked the court to enforce a paternity test. Kim Hyun Joong’s side have agreed to the test and have hired Human Pass to conduct the DNA test. His lawyer Lee Jae Man have previously stated that if the paternity of Choi’s child is confirmed, Kim Hyun Joong would take responsibility as the child’s father.

However, Choi was concerned on the validity of the test and have rejected his offer.

Meanwhile, Kim Hyun Joong is currently serving his mandatory military service in Paju, Gyeonggido since May of this year and has been reported to not have seen the child yet. It has been said that if he would not comply with the DNA test, he would be charged with 10 million won.
