Writer and variety star Yoo Byung Jae has been revealed to have signed a contract with YG Entertainment.
Yoo Byung Jae was known as a writer and a cast of the hit late night variety show ‘SNL Korea’. He also gained fame on variety shows such as ‘Radio Star’, ‘Running Man’ and became one of the possible candidates for the ‘Sixth Man’ position on the hit variety show ‘Infinity Challenge’.
On June 4, to fully welcome Yoo Byung Jae into the company, YG Entertainment has made a new poster which was posted on their official blog. The poster shows Yoo Byung Jae, happily skipping with his backpack on, in front of a YG building and has the caption, “Welcome to YG, Yoo Byung Jae. 2015.6.4. Starting today, off to work”.
He becomes the first writer to be able to sign a contract with one of the ‘Big Three’ entertainment agencies.
Yoo Byung Jae was contacted by YG Entertainment after his show ‘Super Human Generation’ had finished filming. He was the one who wrote and starred in the said show.
Now that he has signed a contract with YG Entertainment, it is expected that we could be able to see more of him on hit variety shows as well as being able to write for shows.
Could this be a sign that YG Entertainment would be producing variety shows which could be written by Yoo Byung Jae from now on?
