Singer, actor and Hallyu star Kim Hyun Joong has finally confirmed his enlistment date despite having to face a new lawsuit from his ex-girlfriend.
Kim Hyun Joong’s official website had announced last May 7, “Kim Hyun Joong would be enlisting for active military service this May 12, Tuesday. He has always wanted to enlist quietly so he wouldn’t be able to disturb any other recruits as well as their families.”
“There will be no official events during the day of enlistment. We ask the fans to be understanding as well as the foreign fans to be really careful so they wouldn’t get tricked by some illegal tours,” the post continues.
“Thank you very much to all the fans who are always supporting and loving Kim Hyun Joon and staying by his side. We will make sure that he would return healthy after he finishes his military service,” says Kim Hyun Joong’s agency.
The star has delayed his military service a few times as he was facing charges from his ex-girlfriend Choi, who filed a lawsuit against him for physical abuse. Last April, he also delayed his service as he found out that the same ex-girlfriend had been pregnant with his child.
Recently, Choi had filed a new lawsuit against him for psychological damages after conflicts had happened between them when Hyun Joong had found out that she was pregnant.
