As you may know,  TVXQ’s Mirotic Album is still the best selling album of Korea with an unbeatable number of sales since its released in 2008. After the two years hiatus, TVXQ is finally back with only their two members, Yunho and Changmin. They released their album, “Why (Keep Your Head Down)” in Januray this year. And as if their history is flows, Gaon shared that TVXQ has the most amount of albums sold for the first half of 2011. From the 1st of January up to the 30th of June, they made a total of 230, 922 sold, there is also their repackaged album who sat at the ninth place with 55,243 units sold.

On the second place is no other than Big Bang with their 4th mini album which sold 133,051 units and the special edition reaching the 6th place with 83,276 units sold. Unexpectedly, BEAST got a very high rank as it goes to the third with their “Fiction and Fact” album, which has 111,201 units sold.

There is also SS501’s Kim Hyunjoong who took the 4th place with 100,433 units sold, marking as the highest ranked solo artist.

There are also Big Bang Seungri’s “V.V.I.P,” drama “You Are Beautiful” OST, IU’s “Real,” MBLAQ’s “BLAQ Style,4minute’s “4MINUTE LEFT,” Heo Youngsaeng “Let It Go,” and SNSD’s “The 1st Asia Tour Concert ‘Into The New World'” that was included on the remaining 11th to 20th spot.
