Davichi is a South Korean duet female group that was made up of member Lee Hae Ri and Kang Min Kyung, the duo had debuted in the year 2008 and they had already won various new artists, and they had also released a mini album in March 2009 alongside with their lead single “8282†who is very fast to enter the chart lists.
On the year 2008, the duo had released studio albums namely Amaranth and Vivid Summer Edition (Amaranth re-release) under the label management of M.net Media. The latter was released on the 7th of July 2008.
On the following year, 2009, Davichi then released mini album called Davichi in Wonderland on the 5th of March 2009. And in the year 2010, they had also released another mini album called, Innocence on the 6th of May 2010. Both are still under the M.net Media.
The group had then become very successful and had shared their contribution in different drama OSTs from the year 2009 up to the year 2010. They had released for my fair Lady OST that was released on 19th of August, 2009 under the label of SBSI. On the same year, the duo had then made collaboration with SeeYa and T-ara for the “Female Generation/Forever Loveâ€. Another collaboration with the two groups were done for the wonder women in the year 2010.
Since debut the duo had accepted many awards such as the Cyworld Digital Music Awards – Rookie of the Month (February). Cyworld Digital Music Awards – Song of the Month (July), Mnet KM Music Festival – New Artist Award and the 23rd Golden Disk Awards.
For the year 2009, the two had received the 17th Seoul Music Awards – New Artist Award, Cyworld Digital Music Awards – Song of the Month (March for 8282) and 24th Golden Disk Awards – Bonsang Award for their Davichi in Wonderland.
But the awards that they are receiving did not stop as they gained another two awards on the year 2010. The group had accepted 2009 Cyworld Digital Music Awards Bonsang Award and the 19th Seoul Music Awards: Bonsang Award for their 8282.
As for the year 2011, the duo has not still having any announcement for any comeback or any release of their album but they are expected to be back in the second half of the year as two are really such good artists in the Korean music industry.
