One of the rarest gems excavated by the K-pop industry in recent years, F.T Island returns with their much anticipated sophomore cut Colorful Sensibility, exerting more power and energy than ever. The popular quintet became a household name after Sarang al ee, their mid-tempo ballad from the debut album Cheerful Sensibility, hit the airwaves in 2007. The song became an instant smash, clinching the #1 spot on both online and offline charts, subsequently earning the group the year's Best New Artist award.
Heavily lathered in refreshing rock sounds, their latest album conveys the boys' many emotional phases. The album's principal track Sarang whoo ae (Track 1) is a powerful rock ballad that features the grandiose sound of a 60-person orchestra, as well as Lee Hong Ki's intoxicating vocals, which enhance the song's brooding atmosphere. Other highlights include the easy-listening number Yeoja neun mola ("Women Don't Know" - Track 2), written by Han saram man's composer Han Seung Hoon, and "Troublemaker" (Track 11), featuring lyrics reminiscent of a bubbly animation theme song.
