Jobs are listed in order of importance, the ones we require/need the most are at the top: Co-webmaster- it would be a big help to have a right hand man (or woman) for the site. You practically can't have a life though because your life has gotta be kpopmusic and you have to be dedicated to helping others out in the kpop world. You should be able to read and understand Korean and have a good working knowledge of kpop. Lots of free time is also required. I don't expect to ever find the perfect co-webmaster, but if you think you can fill this spot, we'll consider you to be one of the coolest people there are! (Possible payment in free cds may be made for a good co-webmaster). News Reporter- sources for news topics and headlines can be provided; nature of job is to actively read the latest Korean pop music news in Korean, and report the news by translating the topics into short and informative news reports in English and posting them on the news page. Must be able to spend time each week doing so. Publicity
chairman- main focus of this job is to promote
our page and make it more visible to the public. Methods for accomplishing
this task will be to get high search engine rankings for the site, invite
related sites to link to our page, making announcements in newsletters,
include promotional tags/signatures in emails, etc. Translator/Article
Translator- articles or other items will be provided in Korean; only
requirement is to translate the articles and email the to us. Maybe
about 1 article to translate each week. Graphics designer- design some graphics for our page, create banners, build attractive portal pages, make flash graphics, etc. Abilities in using programs like photoshop is needed. Visual
librarian- Responsible
for the uploading and linking of music videos for us. All you have to do
after that is give us the links and description details of the video. Audio
librarian- Uploading
music and sending us the links to put up on the page or create MIDI files
for us to add to the MIDI library. Review
manager- responsible for maintaining the review section. Job includes
reviewing artists and albums and collecting reviews from others to be
posted on the page. 1 or 2 reviews a week would be nice. Programmer/Tech personnel- someone who is familiar with the latest in web technology and programming in order to help keep KPopMusic.com moving forward, such skills are needed. Familiarity with PERL, CGI, SQL, and others would be great. If you believe you are qualified, please let us know! Profile/history writer- someone who could help in supplying artist profiles and biographical histories is need. Profiles and histories will need to be research or found by the person. All profiles and histories need to be in English. Lyrics
librarian- a lot of help
is need with this job in either translating or romanizing songs as well as
typing up full album lyrics in Korean. If you can help with any of these,
please apply for this job. Forum moderator- position requires active posting and replying in our forum. The moderator will be responsible in helping to reply to questions and requests and maintaining order, seeing that people follow forum rules. Fanfics
librarian- maintain a
fanfics page for our site. Make a collection of fanfics by obtaining them
from authors, organize fics into categories, provide reviews and
description, make downloadable versions (e.g. .zip files), etc.
