On the first episode of Mnet’s female rap battle show, “Unpretty Rapstar,” Yuna Kim talks about her struggles.
Aside from being a member of the defunct girl group The Ark, she is also known for being a trainee of YG Entertainment and a contestant of “Superstar K3.”
The female rapper says, “I made it up to Super Week on ‘Superstar K3.’ After that, I trained under YG Entertainment.” Following her leave from the management agency, she then went on to debut on The Ark under Music K Entertainment.
Yuna Kim shares, “Right now, I work part-time at an Italian restaurant. I had to work part-time in order to do the things that I want. My parents and my sister are currently in United States. I am very sorry towards them.”
She also reveals, “My family is in a tough situation right now. I wanted to succeed as soon as possible and be a good daughter. For now, ‘Unpretty Rapstar’ is the only way that I could reach my dreams.”
