Actress Yoon Eun Hye responds to accusations of plagiarism regarding her controversial piece which has won first place on “Goddess’ Fashion.”

On a press release from JARMY Entertainment on September 6, the actress reveals, “The theme on episode four was ‘nature,’ our team had the sub-theme of ‘snow’ and ‘lion’. We have chosen a movie which fits our sub-theme and have designed an appropriate item. We chose ‘Chronicles of Narnia’ and used frills and laces to express a lion’s mane.”

“To do that, we studied different brands which have used frills and laces, including Viktor & Rolf, Isabel Marant and Lanvin. We got our ideas from 2008 S/S Viktor & Rolf collection at the end, as well as 2014 S/S Lanvin collection. We did not plagiarize Yoon Choon Ho’s design and had no reason to do so. Our designs may look similar, however the place of the sleeve frills as well as the shape is the current trend and not unique to Yoon Choon Ho,” she adds.

Yoon Eun Hye also says, “We regret that he did not try to communicate directly with my agency and with my stylist. We also regret his one-sided view expressed on SNS. I have worn clothes sponsored by Yoon Choon Ho back then, however I have not worn his F/W collection since it is still summer. My stylist did not pick up the coat nor was it sponsored and plagiarized. You could be able to check the facts since there is a record of sponsored items. ”

“We regret that such a rash statement was made via social media without having been verified. We hope that Yoon Choon Ho would not use Yoon Eun Hye to promote his brand most especially in the upcoming launching of the F/W collection,” she concludes.
