Writer and comedian Yoo Byung Jae celebrates on his new status as a celebrity after he has recently signed with YG Entertainment.
On the latest episode of KBS talk show “Happy Together 3”, the MCs teases Yoo Byung Jae’s new status as a celebrity.
MC Yoo Jae Suk asks him, “Are you thoroughly playing the part of celebrity now?”, Yoo Byung Jae then answers half-seriously and half-jokingly, “Not at all. I don’t want to appear that way, I plan to continue content planning as I always did. YG has really called me out so suddenly. I have always been a YG stan. I am an old fan, me and my manager hyung have always liked him ever since we were young.”
“In the car, we would always talk about how awesome BIGBANG songs are and I even parodied “Loser”, when I got the suggestion to join YG I was really excited,” he continues.
Kim Shin Young then told him that there was article which says that Yoo Byung Jae have lost his B-list celebrity status.
Yoo Byung Jae then responds, “That’s true, I think it is nonsense that I am poor.”
He then talks about the perks that he got after signing with the company. He reveals, “The car which I was given was Akdong Musician’s car. They didn’t tell me but it is the car which Akdong Musician rode during the festival. I could not remove their sticker. I have not yet gone to the 50 pyong (1,779 sq. feet) apartment.”
It was previously reported that YG has ordered to give Yoo Byung Jae some perks so that he could focus on his creative work.
