Female soloist Uhm Jung Hwa shared her thoughts about her comeback in the music industry after 8 years.
On her recent interview and photo shoot with Esquire magazine, Uhm Jung Hwa shared her thoughts about her comeback by saying, “I like to do this. Liking my work is my motivation. It is usually impossible to do everything you like to do, but I am grateful that I am able to do all of it. I debuted back in 1993. Now that I am in this age, I am just thankful to have released my 11th full album.”
When asked about her comeback performance, Uhm Jung Hwa revealed, “I would like to overcome my condition. To be honest, it is difficult for me to sing right now. I want to keep trying and overcome this. I have not yet fully recovered from vocal chord nodules, so it is still partially paralyzed. There is still discomfort. However, it is very meaningful that I did it. I want to win against it.”
Previously, the artist was diagnosed with thyroid cancer but was able to recover after undergoing surgery in 2010.
Meanwhile, Uhm Jung Hwa has recently made her comeback with the album, “The Cloud Dream of the Nine” along with two promotional tracks, “Dreamer” and “Watch Me Move.”
Aside from music, Uhm Jung Hwa is also known for her roles in the films, “Wonderful Nightmare,” “Venus Talk,” “In My End is My Beginning” and “Dancing Queen.”
