Girl’s Generation’s leader and main vocalist Taeyeon is back with another song that would definitely touch your heart strings. Moreover, it would take you to a rainy stroll down memory lane.
Following the success of her solo debut track “I,” Taeyeon is back with a ballad song “Rain”!
Recently, SM Entertainment has announced that a digital single would be released as a part of the of their weekly release system. The Girl’s Generation member is up first with her track “Rain” as well as an accompanying single “Secret.”
Let’s take a deeper look at Taeyeon’s “Rain” music video, shall we?
The music video starts with Taeyeon reminiscing her memories with someone in the rain whenever the rain comes.
Taeyeon’s memories with that someone are all contained in jars which she fills with water.
The person was someone that brightened her life, however, now that the person is gone, her life turns colorless and gloomy. Thus the black and white scenery in the music video.
The rain then represents the tears swelling up inside of her lonely heart, which is portrayed by the things around her turning into liquid that later floods her house when she was missing that person.
The video then ends with Taeyeon going to sleep, thus the lyrics “Dreaming in the rain”.
Later, she wakes up from her dream and the sun shines down from her window signifying a new day and a new hope.
