In response to this, Super Junior member Ryeowook has expressed his support for Kibum through his Twitter account, he writes, “Ki Bum, I am always cheering for you!!! I sincerely hope that you would go on to somewhere better and be happy~! I hope that the memories which we made together in Super Junior would stay with you for a long time. ^^.”

SM Entertainment has also confirmed Kibum’s contract expiration and reveals, “Kim Kibum’s contract with SM Entertainment has expired. Please look forward and continue to support Kim Kibum.”

After debuting as an actor in 2004 with the KBS drama “April Kiss” under SM Entertainment, he then debuted as part of Super Junior in 2005. In 2009, Kibum was absent on the promotions for the group’s track “Sorry, Sorry” which then lead to speculations that he has left the group, however it was denied by SM Entertainment and his fellow members. In the follow-up track, “It’s You”, Kibum had no solo lines and was absent from promotions. To this, SM Entertainment then reveals that Kibum was busy with his solo activities and would be absent from the group’s activities.

Meanwhile, there are still no updates on which agency Kibum would be signing next and no update regarding his status as a Super Junior member.

Stay tuned for more updates!
