BTS member Suga talks about his recent mixtape and his aspirations in life.

In a recent interview and photoshoot with Grazia magazine, the BTS member talks about his recent mixtape, “Agust D.”

During the interview, Suga reveals why used the name “Agust D” by saying, “I prepared ‘DT Suga’ which I used in my lyrics. DT means D Town and it refers to my hometown. I like the meaning, and it sounds cool whenever I say. I think that I will continue using this name if I work externally. I also like that the mixtape came out in August.”

He also adds, “The mixtape has everything that I wanted to do with hip-hop as a foundation. It contains strong lyrics which could make people say, ‘Huh? Did he do this?’ or ‘Is it okay for him to write such lyrics?’ Anyway, I am relieved that I was able to tell my stories.”

With regards to his aspirations in life, Suga reveals, “The media chases after issues and sets up a standard of beauty as to how thin a person is. But, there are people on the other side of the world who are starving and dying since they do not have food to eat. There should be more attention towards that issue. If I could become an influential and honorable person, wouldn’t I be able to shift people’s attention to that side?”
