Mnet responds to YG Entertainment’s statement regarding missing an invitation to the 2015 Mnet Asian Music Awards.

On October 13, an Mnet official reveals, “We are currently preparing to hold the ‘2015 MAMA’ in Hong Kong on December 2, at the end of October, we would be starting with the voting for the nominations. We are currently making the plans for the performances of the show.”

Mnet further adds that the MAMA this year would be open to all of the artists who were active in 2015 and that they are currently preparing to make the best stage for viewers and fans.

In response to YG Entertainment’s statement saying that, “There has been no official recruit attempts for the YG artists including BIGBANG. It is usual for the preparations to start before 2 months from the event. It is unclear whether YG artists would be making their appearance on the ‘2015 MAMA. It is strange that no talks of appearance or the stage itself has yet to be brought up.’”

The Mnet official then responds, “I do not know why this kind of issue has surfaced at such an early stage. ”

YG artists became very active this year, including Jinusean who have made their comeback after a decade of hiatus, BIGBANG who have been promoting their ‘MADE’ album from May to September and iKON making their long-awaited debut.

meanwhile, the ‘2015 MAMA’ would be taking place at Hong Kong this December 2.
