Korean hip hop artist MC Mong is revealed to be hosting his comeback concert this September.
Dream T Entertainment revealed on July 20 that MC Mong would be hosting his concert on September 4 to 6, as well as on September 11 and 13.
MC Mong previously went into a hiatus following the army evading controversy in 2010. It has been said that the artist has allegedly had his healthy teeth pulled out to be exempted from military duty. On 2011, he was cleared on the case but was sentenced to six months or suspended jail term, one year probation as well as 120 hours of community service.
The court was unable to determine if the artist was guilty of having his teeth extracted to avoid military draft but acknowledged that there was a delay his military enlistment.
In November of 2014, he made a successful return with his new album “Miss me or Diss Me” which topped the real time charts. the album featured other artists including, Huh Gak, SISTAR’s Hyorin, Leesang’s Gary, Ailee, Baek Ji Young, Girl’s Day’s Minah, The Channels, Bumkey and Mad Soul Child’s Jinsil.
Despite releasing a new album, MC Mong did not actually perform on stage at music shows as he was banned by some broadcasting companies for his army evading controversy.
His September “Mongster Concert” would be his first performance in front of a crowd after six years since his Korean tour.
Dream T Entertainment reveals to Yonhap News, “It would be MC Mong’s first tme in six years that he prepared an event for his fans. He is looking forward to have a great time with the fans who have waited for him for a long time.”
