Lee Hyori was born on May 10, 1979 and is a South Korean R&B and hip hop singer and actress. She had started off the part of a successful k-pop girl group named as Fin.K.L, but now she is currently a solo artist. Her very first album was successful in winning many artists of the year awards for the said album. Ever since then, she becomes the highest-paid female artists in the whole South Korea.

Hyori had started her career as being a part of the Korean pop girl group Fin.K.L. Since she was the oldest member, she had eventually becomes the leader of the said group. She was discovered when the talent agent had saw her taking sticker pictures with some friends. He was also noted as the last member of the group to join before their debut on January 1998. The group had officially debuted on the 22nd of May, 1998 alongside with their first single, Blue Rain. It is unexpectedly received by fans quite well that is why they had released their second album, To My Boyfriend who ranked as number one in different charts. The group became one of the most popular and successful Korean group of all-time.

Hyori had released her third album; It’s Hyorish on the 16th of July, 2008. Her first single, U-GO-Girl had hit the number one spot in various online and offline charts and also including the various television music show. In November 2009, her contract with M-net had expired that is why she planned to sign a contract under the Gil Entertainment and have a work with Gil Jong Hwa who was the Fin.K.L’s co-manager and had worked for them since debut. EHowever, her 2010 album was released under the label of Mnet Media.

For almost two years after her previous album release, she had made her comeback H-Logic on the 13th of April, 2010. The album has a total of 14 tracks which includes her collaboration with Daesung of Big Bang, Ji Yoon of 4minute, Bekah of Afterschool, Gary of Leessang and Sang Chu of Mighty Mouth. Hyori had also worked with E-Tribe who was the team behind the lead single from her previous album, “U-Go-Girl”

On March 31, 2010, she had released a music video for “Geu-ne (Swing)” that features Gary of Leessang. Her lead single, “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” alongside with its music video was released soon after. The self written song that features Ceejay of Freshboyz was released on the same day of her album. She had won two mutizens within two weeks because of her lead single.

On the 21st of June, 2010, Hyori had announced and accepted that the plagiarism accusations for her seven songs in the said single were confirmed and true. She had also stated that she would be temporarily stopping all of her activities as a singer and also she would stop all her TV appearances as of the moment, but it was then reported to make a comeback on June 2011.
