Former KARA leader turned actress Gyuri reveals her thoughts on his ‘goddess’ nickname and if she keeps in touch with the other KARA members.

On the recent broadcast of Arirang TV’s “Showbiz Korea,” Gyuri sat down for an interview to promote her new film “How To Break Up With My Cat.”

When asked about her KARA co-members and if they keep in touch and give each other advice on acting, Gyuri reveals, “To be honest, we know each other so well that we seemingly think in our hearts, ‘This kind of role matched you well.’ But, rather than giving rash recommendations, we are the type who would give a lot of support to the opposite leads.”

She also adds, “These days, we usually ask each other how we are doing and whether we are doing fine. We also talk about everyday things.”

When asked about her ‘goddess’ nickname, Gyuri then reveals, “To be honest, it is too embarrassing and I also never meant it to become my nickname. The fans called me that and it spread. There are a lot of female stars that are beautiful goddesses, right? Right now, I just wish that fans would see me as the diligent Gyuri.”

Following KARA’s disbandment, she appeared in the historical drama, “Jang Young Sil.”  She recently appeared in the film “Two Rooms, Two Nights,” and would also be appearing in the upcoming film, “How To Break Up With My Cat.”
