Singer turned actor and variety star Eun Ji Won is revealed to be making his comeback in the music scene this year.
On May 18th Eun Ji Won’s agency GYM Entertainment has announced, “Eun Ji Won would be making his comeback as a solo artist next month with a new mini album. However, we are only planning for a digital release.”
The agency has also revealed that the upcoming mini album will be having two title tracks. The first track would be pre-released on June 1 while the second track along with the mini album will be released on June 8.
Eun Ji Won was known as the leader of Sech Kies which is a first generation idol group. The group has debuted in 1997 and disbanded in 2000. Eun Ji Won then pursued a solo career in 2001. He has also changed his music genre from pop to hip hop in his third album ‘Drunk on Hip Hop’ which was released on 2005.
Eun Ji Won will be returning to the music scene after 5 years of hiatus. His last mini album ‘Platonic’ was released in 2009.
Aside from singing, he has also pursued acting, hosting and appeared in many variety shows.
He was known for his role in the hit tvN drama ‘Reply 1997’ as well as appearing in hit variety shows ‘1 Night 2 Days’, ‘The Genius: Rulebreaker’ and ‘I Live Alone’.
