MC Yoo Hee Yeol then asked him how he started to become a rapper, to which Dok2 responds, “I started to rap in order to save my bankrupt family when I was still 12. I thought that if I did music, I would then be able to earn money. However, I was not able to earn anything for 10 years, this worsened my relationship with my family.”

Yoo Hee Yeol then asks him as to why he has money on display at his home, Dok2 then reveals, “The numbers go up and down, internet banking is so fickle. But if I have hard cash I tend not to use it.”

“It is me bragging about money,” he jokes.

Dok2 then comments, “I wanted to be able to give a message to people that success is possible, even for people who are short like me in the hip hop genre.”
