Davichi’s current management agency CJ E&M has revealed their request to the duo’s former agency MBK Entertainment to withdraw the release of their new song.

On November 1, the ‘V’ app episode for MBK Entertainment’s new girl group DIA featured Davichi’s song “Moments” as background music.

Later, CJ E&M has revealed through a press release, “We are requesting Davichi’s former agency, MBK Entertainment to withdraw the release of their song ‘Moments.’ After knowing that they have planned to release this song, we have requested the retraction through a variety of routes. A rough outline of this song was previously recorded by Davichi for an OST, however, it was discarded as it was not fitting with the concept. The song was not ready to be released, however MBK’s new artist is currently using the song for their promotions.”

They add, “The song is still being released despite that the contract of Davichi and MBK Entertainment was already finished. We are currently preparing a new song which would be released at the end of the year as well as a concert for the first time in two years, we are very disappointed and shocked regarding this incident.”

They further reveal, “We are currently making requests to withdraw the release of the song. Once again, we would like to thank the fans for supporting Davichi as always no matter the situation.”

Last February of 2014, it was announced that the duo’s contract with MBK Entertainment has expired. In July, Davichi then signed a contract with CJ E&M.
