Actor Choi Jin Hyuk revealed to have been discharged early from the military due to his knee injury.
The actor’s agency Red Brick House revealed that Choi Jin Hyuk has been discharged after seven months of his service and announced his medical leave due to an injury of his left knee.
The agency wrote:
“Hello, we are Red Brick House, the management agency of actor Choi Jin Hyuk.
We are announcing that Choi Jin Hyuk would be making a medical leave from the military on October 16.
Since his enlistment on March 31, he has suffered from a serious injury on his left knee and have received stem cell cartilage transplant surgery. Choi Jin Hyuk would be needing long-term rehabilitation treatment which makes it difficult for him to serve in the military any longer.
Choi Jin Hyuk had hoped to return to his military service following his knee surgery. But, the ongoing treatment and rehabilitation needs are unavoidable, thus resulting in his medical leave.
Choi Jin Hyuk is a bit distressed by the sudden turn of events given his intention was to serve and be able complete his military duty. As an agency representing him, we regret to inform you such news as well,
He would be focusing on his treatment and rehabilitation from now on.
The actor has been known for his roles on Korean dramas such as “Gu Family Book,” “The Heirs,” “Emergency Couple” and “Pride and Prejudice.”
