Actor Choi Chang Yeob has been revealed to be arrested because of illegal drug use. His management agency confirms the news.
Recently, reports came out revealing that the actor was being investigated back in September on suspicions of injecting methamphetamine in his home in Sillim-dong, Seoul. According to the investigation, Choi Chang Yeob was revealed to have previously injected methamphetamine to another individual sometime last May in Gangnam. The actor was then revealed to be recently arrested for the illegal use of the said drug.
His management agency, Sammaru Entertainment responded to the news by confirming, “It is true that Choi Chang Yeob was recently arrested by the prosecution on suspicion of illegal drug use. The prosecution is currently investigating him. We are preparing to assign a lawyer who will take care of this matter. We are sorry for the trouble it has caused for fans and other people.”
Meanwhile, the actor made his debut back in 2011 through a KBS variety show and then started to act later the same year. He is known for his roles in the dramas, “TV Novel: Land of Gold,” “School 2013,” “Faith,” and “TV Novel: Dear My Sister.” He has also appeared in the film, “It’s Time to Love.”
He is also known for appearing on the variety shows, “The Genius: Rules of the Game,” “Human Survival Challenger” and “Problematic Men.”
