AOA members talks about their popularity and status in FNC Entertainment in recent guesting on “Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook.”

On the recent broadcast of “Sketchbook,” AOA members appeared as special guests to promote their new track “Good Luck.”

In the interview, the group reveals their struggles and hardships before becoming popular.

Chanmi shares, “Puberty hit me during ‘Short Hair.’ I ran away because I thought that it was not the right path for me. I was really grateful when Jimin came to find me.”

MC Yoo Hee Yeol then advises, “Since you are still young, it could be that you don’t really know what you want to do. You guys might still be lacking in certain areas, but you should rely on each other.”

Choa reveals, “For two out of five years, it was like we did not exist. We did not do so well.”

Mina also adds, “At that time when AOA debuted, 80 other girl groups have also debuted. In just a week after our debut, there were already more junior groups.”

AOA then reveals that they status in the company changed after becoming popular. Seolhyun even reveals that after their “Short Skirt” promotions, the company started to show great interest in them and they had a meal with the CEO. Seolhyun then reveals, “He memorized all of our names.”

Hyejeong then adds, “After ‘Short Hair,’ we had sixty events in one month.”

Choa then jokes, “After ‘Heart Attack,’ Seolhyun started to pop everywhere on the streets.”
