Soloist Ailee talks about her getting a new hairstyle and getting help from Eric Nam and SEVENTEEN’s Woozi for her song, “Feelin.”

On Ailee’s recent appearance on SBS PowerFM’s “Kim Chang Ryul’s Old School,” she talks about her recent preparations for her comeback.

When DJ Kim Chang Ryul asked her about her shorter hairstyle, Ailee responded, “I got goosebumps when I heard the scissors cutting my hair.” She was then asked if she cried while getting a haircut, to which, Ailee replied, “There wasn’t anything like that. It was just interesting. I got it cut while saying, ‘Whoa, whoa.’”

She also adds, “At first, I was scared, so I asked the office head to go with me. When we went together, and I actually got fascinated by the haircut.”

Ailee then talks about her song “Feelin” by saying, “I forced Eric Nam to feature for me. I asked him, ‘Please sing on my new album,’ and he said, ‘Sure.’”

“However, when we started to write the lyrics together, we were struggling since we could not speak Korean fluently and are both terrible at grammar,” she adds.

She also explains, “We scratched everything we had written and recruited somebody who is good at Korean. We contacted Woozi from SEVENTEEN. I would ask him, ‘Is this grammatically correct?’ and he would answer yes or no and helped me fix it.”

Meanwhile, Ailee has made her comeback with the album, “A New Empire” with the lead track, “Home” which features Yoon Mi Rae.
