4Minute has been rumored to be disbanding after their contracts with Cube Entertainment end this month.

Earlier, reports have come out saying that out of the 4Minute members, only member HyunA has re-signed a contract with the agency while the other member are still in discussions for contract renewal.

An entertainment insider reveals, “Each member of 4Minute is thinking of their singing and acting careers. After months of debate, they decided that it was difficult to keep going as it is. HyunA has renewed her contract, and the others are still in discussions for renewal while a few would be leaving the agency.”

With regards to the rumors, Cube Entertainment confirms that it is still HyunA who have re-signed with the agency while the others are still in discussions for renewal. The management agency has made it clear that they are not yet confirming whether 4Minute is disbanding.

The group made their debut in 2009 with the single “Hot Issue.” They are also known for their songs “HuH,” “I My Me Mine,” “Heart to Heart” and “Mirror Mirror.” The group’s latest release was their seventh mini-album “Act. 7” where they collaborated with Skrillex for the lead single “Hate.”

The group is also known for their variety shows such as “MTV 4minute,” “4minute’s Friend Day” “4Minute’s Video” and “4Minute’s Travel Maker.”

Meanwhile, the members of the group have yet to comment on the issue.
