EXO’s first sub-unit, EXO-CBX (short for ChenBaekXi) discussed their debut and life at their dorm in a recent interview.

During the latest broadcast of “Choi Hwa Jung’s Power Time,” the members of EXO-CBX, Chen, Baekhyun and Xiumin talked about their time together.

The members revealed, “We do not fight when all of the members of EXO are together. We are all respectful and considerate of each other.”

When asked as to how they became a sub-unit, the members shared, “We shared a dorm together, and we even work out together quite often. We brought up the idea of being a sub-unit as a joke. However, it has actually happened. We also have a lot of similarities in the genres that we each want to pursue outside the music which EXO creates.”

With regards to their sub-unit debut, they commented, “Since we are promoting separately as a unit, it feels like we are rookies once again. We are happy that we are a part of EXO. The experience is truly one of a kind for us. Although we are quite busy because of our tight schedules, we are glad that we are having fun and doing what we love the most.”

Meanwhile, the sub-unit released their debut EP, “Hey Mama!” in October 2016. Aside from the title track, “Hey Mama!” their EP also includes the songs, “The One,” “Rhythm After Summer,” “Juliet,” and “Cherish.”
