Actor Kwak Dong Yeon talks about going on variety shows.
On the actor’s recent interview, he revealed, “Honestly, I tend to avoid variety shows since I am scared. During my guesting on ‘Radio Star,’ I could not resist and picked Kim So Hyun as my ideal type. Since then, it has been portrayed as if I like Kim So Hyun a lot and it created misunderstandings.”
Previously, the actor appeared on the show with Kim Yoo Jung and Kim So Hyun. He originally named actress Han Ji Min when he was asked about his ideal type. However, Kwak Dong Yeon was asked to choose between Kim Yoo Jung and Kim So Hyun.
He then added, “I was also hurt a lot on variety shows. Nothing is promised on variety programs, so I am scared of unexpected situations. I do not know what questions I will be asked. I might make a verbal mistake, and I also do not have confidence with regards to humor.”
Kwak Dong Yeon then shared, “As for ‘I Live Alone,’ I told my agency that I did not want to appear on it at first. It was awkward to think that people would be watching my daily life. However, I was told that they would simply film my day and air it after editing. So, that convinced me to go on with it. I will go to variety shows which I could enjoy without making any mistakes. However, the ones where I have to create stories are difficult.”
