4Minute former member Jiyoon shares her thoughts on the girl group’s disbandment and her upcoming solo debut.

During Jiyoon’s recent interview in promotions for her upcoming solo debut, the former 4Minute member talks about the group’s disbandment.

She revealed, “The members have talked about this for a very long time, and each member was worried about what course she would take.”

“We did not even think about disbandment until the very end. However, we reached that point since we respected each other’s opinions. We were so apologetic to our fans who were going to be surprised, and all of the members were heartbroken,” Jiyoon also added.

Jiyoon then shared, “I am only able to stand alone like this right now thanks to 4Minute. The group is the skeleton for my experiences. Right now, I need to stick the flesh into it personally.”

Following 4Minute’s disbandment, Jiyoon became the first former member to sign with an agency and make her solo debut. She signed with JS E&M after leaving Cube Entertainment.

During her stay in Cube Entertainment and 4Minute, Jiyoon formed the sub-unit 2Yoon with co-member Gayoon. She has also made her acting debut with the web drama, “Dreaming CEO” and participated in the Mnet female rap survival show, “Unpretty Rapstar 2.”

Jiyoon is scheduled to release her solo debut with the mini-album, “Day AND Night” on November 2.
