Model and actress Lee Sung Kyung talks about her character for the upcoming SBS drama “Doctors.”

Lee Sung Kyung will be portraying the role of Jin Seo Woo, who is an only child in a prestigious family of doctors. She reveals, “After growing up with all the love and attention, Jin Seo Woo changes when she meets Yoo Hye Jung (Park Shin Hye’s character) and develops an inferiority complex. She also faces other kinds of challenges.”

She adds, “She does not respond to new feelings through reckless and purely villainous means. I want to show a character who slowly matures while she overcomes pain and misery.”

The actress also reveals that there would be some rivalry between her and Park Shin Hye’s character. Lee Sung Kyung then adds, “They also grow as individuals through their competition. You could also expect a womance that will develop between the two of them.”

She also talks about her goals with regards to her character portrayal by saying, “My character Jin Seo Woo may have a career as a doctor, but I will do my best to show her different sides as well as to convey her charismatic and cool appeal.”

Meanwhile, the upcoming drama “Doctors” will be making its premiere on June 20 at 10 pm KST. Aside from Park Shin Hye and Lee Sung Kyung, it would also star Kim Rae Won, Yoon Gyun Sang, and Ji Soo.
